CasaXPS Workshop
The workshop will be presented by Neal Fairley from Casa Software Ltd. at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY
Date: Tuesday, July 27th Time: 09:00 – 05:00 Location: Russell Sage Laboratory room 3303 (building 06 on the campus map)
The workshop will be based on the new features in CasaXPS 2.3.15 and will consist of examples taken from the Orange 2.3.15 Manual book.
The first session will be devoted to running through examples of quantification for XPS spectra using regions and peak models. The idea being to provide an introduction to those new to CasaXPS, but also using some of the new line-shapes available in 2.3.15 so more experienced users will benefit from this session too.
More advanced uses of the selection mechanism and time-saving features will be discussed in later sessions.
The final session will look at some of the new Tougaard background techniques for analyzing film thickness and the application of these techniques to obtaining physical images from XPS data.

At the 4th traffic light, turn right onto 15th Street. You will see the large granite Rensselaer sign and flags at the intersection of 15th Street and Sage Avenue. Continue on 15th Street past this intersection, and drive under the pedestrian bridge. You can park in the Public Safety & Parking Access Offices’ parking lot located just past the pedestrian bridge, on your left. Campus parking permits are available for purchase at the Public Safety & Parking Access Office.
