Abstract: The evening is a celebration of the history of your local chapter of the American Vacuum Society.  It has been just over 40 years since our first Symposium was held in 1969, and we can truly be proud of continuing to host this event when other chapters no longer offer such a unique regional event. At this time we also wish to honor all of our former Chairpersons who have kept the body and the spirit of the American Vacuum Society alive and well in New England.  Many of them will joins us to review both their personal experiences and also the technological advances during that period.

Speakers: Our speakers for the evening will include Mars Hablanian, Dick Jacobs, Mike Berry, and others. We also welcome a discussion by our members regarding suggestions for future activities.
